After a bit of research, I ended up choosing Wallace and I'm glad I did. My first phone call was very informative and I had only to choose when to start the training. Got all the books from them, studied everything and passed my theory test first time. Went to do some practical training with Gerry the instructor and got my skills polished to a very high standard. Anticipate, not react. The best advice I could ever get. Passed my practical first time and also the following CPC theory and practical tests. If someone asks me where to go for a truck licence, my answer is 1000 times Wallace School of Transport. They care for you as if you were family. That counts more than anything.Mr Augusto Barale

Can I get FREE training or a grant to help pay for training fees?
Sometimes funding assistance is available. However, free, funded and assisted training places may depend on the circumstances of the person or company applying and sometimes where they are based.

- Local Funding initiatives, often restricted to certain postcode areas, usually available for short periods
- Occasionally Job Centre Plus can help if you can prove you've a job to go to with your new qualification
- Take a Government Backed Loan (see below for more details)
- NVQ funded initiatives including Apprenticeships
- Skills Funding Agency

PCDL - Professional and Career Development Loans
Professional and Career Development Loans are bank loans for courses and training that help boost your career or help get you into work with a new qualification. Wallace is an approved and registered PCDL training provider.
Loans are usually offered at a reduced interest rate and the government pays interest while you’re studying.
Apply 3 months before your course starts to give the bank enough time to process your application. Check with your benefits office before taking out a PCDL as it can affect any benefits you're entitled to.
