For existing

Drivers with acquired rights (i.e. just passed the PCV or LGV driving test) will not be issued with a DQC until they have completed their first 5 years of periodic training.  They will be able to prove they when they passed the test by the date on their driving licence showing when they passed their test and acquired their PCV or LGV vocational driving licence.

Wallace DriveSafe  programmes are divided into 3 areas that meet most companies’ requirements. However we are pleased to provide bespoke arrangements on request.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENT

Before an offer of employment is made to an employee, whose duties will include driving; we strongly advise a driving assessment to establish the driving competence of the applicant and highlight any concerns regarding the ability of the candidate to drive safely. Our findings are confirmed in writing confidentially, directly to you.

Pre-Employment Assessments at your location for half-day or full day can normally be arranged at short notice.  Or with approximately one weeks notice individual drivers Pre-Employment Assessments can be conducted at our Wembley centre

 IN-SERVICE SAFETY ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING

Review the driving ability of your existing drivers and provide remedial training where necessary.  We concentrate on the safe handling of the vehicle, together with the drivers’ ability to drive defensively, i.e. to recognise hazards in good time and implement plans to deal with them.

Towards the end of the during the review any aspects of their driving that is not to a safe standard will be identified and confirmed in a confidential report directly to you.

REFRESHER TRAINING

Designed to follow on after the either of the above, refresher training will look at all aspects of the candidates driving that caused concern.  At the end of the refresher training a further report will be submitted for your Health and Safety Records.
