‘Old Boys’
Not too long ago we were contacted by Ian Dearlove who was
making an enquiry about training for his friend. Ian passed
with us around five years ago. “I’ve still got
the photo of when I passed in my cab. I’ve worked all
over Europe – I love driving – It’s much
better than my old job as a mechanic”.
Ian took his “HGV 1” when you could still go from
car to articulated vehicle driver in one test. It’s
nice to hear from him again.
Late last year Lee McGlinchey re-contacted
us about gaining his PCV qualifications as he wanted to move
into the limousine business.
Since passing with us back in 1994 he’s held several driving
jobs but perhaps one of the most unusual was working at B.A.
at Heathrow pushing Concord out of it’s hanger. Congratulations
on passing your Passenger Carrying Vehicle Licence and good
luck, Lee, in your new career. |
