PCV D1+E Minibus and TrailerTraining

If you need to carry more baggage or equipment like canoes, kayaks, camp gear and tents then towing a trailer may be the answer for you.

Indeed, drivers and tour guides working at holiday companies, or youth workers and scout/guide leaders often re-approach us having passed their minibus test when they need to upgrade their D1 entitlement for trailer entitlment.

If your minibus is full of passengers and there is no space left for luggage and equipment, the obvious solution is to house it all in a trailer and tow it behind the vehicle as it continues along to your site or holiday destination.

However, please note if you are a volunteer driver (for example, for a not for profit organisation) then unlike for D1, if you want to drive a minibus with a trailer, you must pass D1 and then D1+E to be permitted to do so.

Whatever your need we can help.
