Passed Minibus with Wallace School of TransportNicola Hawkins – Four Seasons Health Care

Nicola is a care worker. She needed her PCV D1–minibus licence to qualify her to take patients to and from their home and Health Centre or hospital.
As an experienced car driver, she didn’t have too many problems learning to drive the minibus and reached test standard with just above average amount of training hours. However on test, her usual confidence deserted her and she developed ‘test nerves’

Tom, her instructor, would remind her about the correct sequence for checking mirrors, and next time it was her lane discipline or lack of judgment when entering a roundabout. When she passed after her 3rd attempt, her examiner joked “I don’t know why you struggled before?  That was a lovely drive!”

Dear Priti, thank you very much for your help and assistance with the guys we have trained through Wallace.

We have been very pleased with the help and assistance and standard of training we have received from your team. I will be in touch shortly to make arrangments for our new trainees.

Rachel Awan was driving for DAF Franchise Rental Lorries on LGV C

But when her friend mentioned there was a job driving articulated vehicles at the company she worked with, Rachel leapt at the chance to do her C+E training with Cornelius O’Donovan in Croydon.  Many Thanks for all your help Con. I got the job!

I am e-mailing you to express my thanks

for arranging my C1 driver training with your company. It was very prompt and efficient and allowed to me to continue with Paramedic Training.

I would also like to pass on my thanks and praise to my instructor, Michael Whelan, he was very professional throughout my training. For me the first lesson was very difficult, almost like learning to drive again. However, I was encouraged throughout the lesson by Michael and grew in confidence for the rest of my lessons. One huge advantage to the way in which Michael taught was to relate the driving to Ambulance practice. For example, instead of referring to the load in the back as a 'load' or 'cargo', he referred to it as my Patient/Crewmate. This was easier for me as I was able to relate the learning more to practice.

I passed the practical test first time and this is undoubtedly due to the professional and supportive manner in which I was instructed. Without this, I have no doubt that my progress wouldn't have been so quick or productive. Please once again pass my sincere thanks onto both the administrative staff and Michael himself.

Twins pass LGV with Wallace School of Transport

Lee and Wayne Mundy

When Wayne contacted us to arrange his and his brothers’ LGV training, it came of somewhat a surprise to find out they were identical twins.

After their assessments, they decided on a 5-day shared course leading into tests on the same day. Lee on the 8.30am and Wayne on the 1pm. We’re pleased to say Wayne passed first time and Lee on his second attempt.

Twins pass LGV with Wallace School of TransportWe had hoped to take a “double photo” of them both with Simon, their instructor, but unfortunately Wayne wasn’t available on the second day.  The photo’s below are taken on two separate dates – honest!

Wallace ‘Old Boys’

Not too long ago we were contacted by Ian Dearlove who was making an enquiry about training for his friend. Ian passed with us around 10 years ago. “I’ve still got the photo of when I passed in my cab. I’ve worked all over Europe –I love driving –It’s much better than my old job as a mechanic”.
Ian took his “HGV 1” when you could still go from car to articulated vehicle driver in one test. It’s nice to hear from him again.

TruckHello Neil and Ruth

Inspiration for your candidates

Dear Neil

I would like to thank you and your team for your help and support while I was recently taking an LGV C driving course. It was a very thorough and professional process from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend your company. I would like to make a special mention for my driving instructor, Terry, who works out of Enfield Lorry Park. His guidance and instruction are excellent and helped me to gain a high standard of driving skills. I am pleased to tell you that I passed my LGV C driving test today.

Wallace School of Transport PCV Coach Pass

Dear Neil, Paul and the team!!

I would like to extend my thanks to the entire team at Wallace Transport! From the day I initiated my enquiry I have had nothing but great service, polite and informative – a total recipe for success I thought from the off, and I was not to be disappointed!

Then after passing all my theory bits ‘n’ bobs I came for my assessment drive, and meeting Paul, my instructor I was very impressed. A CLEAN vehicle, NEW and PROFESSIONALLY marked – believe me, I looked around and as Paul would probably say – “cooohh blimey”, I saw some sights that were to be desired! I was immediately put at ease – my first drive on the truck, I wasn’t patronised, nor made to feel less important than my instructor, which I found when I learnt to drive my car – considering it was a new vehicle, and all, I was very impressed to be made to feel like we were on a level playing field and that I could be TRUSTED! So important! And I hadn’t even started my training yet!

On the first day of my training, I turned up, and again I was made to feel very comfortable AND welcome! Paul was a fantastic instructor, talking to me like I was a real person, and there was no “student-teacher” seniority. It was as if we had been good mates for a long time! I am a professional first aid trainer for St Johns Ambulance, as well as operational staff and I have not met such a professional, yet sociable person such as Paul to be able to teach and encourage/enhance an individual’s personal development such as Paul for a very long time! You made a fantastic decision the day you took Paul on (a day which I have been told all about!). He is a true asset to your fantastic, professional and all-round well run/managed company! Well done to you Neil, and word’s can’t put across how thankful I am to Paul my instructor!!

I have wanted to be a paramedic nearly 10 years now, and I was one of three in 500 applicants to be accepted for my preferred university. I am so very, very passionate about making the difference when it really, really does matter! I have worked so hard to achieve my goal over the past years academically, but of course, the C1 professional driving qualification is as necessary as the academic grades, which I have worked for, for a long time, and to have a pass first time, in something, quite challenging, such as driving, where you have a real responsibility for not just yourself but everyone you see out on the road, to pass in 18 hours and first time, is an indicator of the professionalism and dedication your staff have to their job, and their desire to see people develop and SUCCEED!

I would love to write an article for your website’s success page, please do let me know, and if you have some posters I would be more than happy to advertise your company in our local divisions, and I will always recommend you, and especially Paul to any of my other colleagues!

You guys were such a pleasure to work with. I would like to close this e-mail, with yet another THANK YOU! A pass with two minors says it all!

THINK! How many lives will the driver training I received save? Blue lights are fine, but without the under-pinning driving skills – I don’t think so!!

Kindest Regards,

Matt James
P.S. – Please get Paul ANOTHER joke book!!
P.P.S – I was on Capital Radio the other afternoon as I texted them to say I was a “London winner” as I passed my ambulance C1 first time, and I extended my thanks to the rest of London too – I really am IMPRESSED!!

Dear Neil,

I am a student paramedic who has just completed my C1 driving licence with Paul Murphy and I would like to say I've been very happy with your company espcially Paul.

Paul is an absolute credit to your company as his lessons were meticulously planned, well structured and throughout my course his jovial nature made me feel at ease at all times. I have no doubt that without his excellent training I would not have fared as well as I did. Paul was always flexible to my needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was fully prepared.

After my experience, I will endeavor to recommend my current and future paramedic cohorts to your establishment.

Kind Regards,  Wilfred Payne

Dear Wallace,

I Just wanted to say thank you. Ryan Houguez training on fork lift was very good  and we will pass your details onto other companies.

Kind Regards,  Graham Thurston (Health and Safety Manager) AJE-Ltd

Dear Mr. Wallace,

Re: A big thank you from a grateful customer

I work for Uno buses of Hatfield and recently I was given the opportunity to upgrade from a light vehicle driver to a bus driver.

We do not have in-house training at Uno buses therefore my training was handled by your instructor Mr.Tom Moran.

On December 22nd of last year I passed the final part of my PCV licence (Module 5) and am now a qualified driver.

I would very much appreciate you passing on my grateful thanks to Tom. He is a super bloke and a terrific trainer. He has that rare skill of high standard; a great asset to your company.

I wish you and Tom, and your colleagues and employees a very happy new year.

Yours Sincerely

John Westwood
